Congratulations Auntie Debbie and your Curfew has been Lifted to 2230!
Dear Auntie Debbie,
Heartfelt congratulations on achieving your MAK, Hons. B. Business Computing Degree! Your accomplishment not only marks a significant milestone but also fills me with immense pride in the wonderful person you have become.
To understand my joyfulness - Debbie is not only my younger sister (cousin if you may) but she also became an integral part of my marriage when we were only three months in, making her story truly special. Despite the age gap, I've known Debbie for almost her entire life. She joined us during her mid-primary education, and our connection was seamless. Her open heart for the Lord and unwavering commitment to godly values made our bond even stronger.
As I was engaging her to be our entourage maid during the lead-up to our wedding, there were rumors about our parents considering sending her to Kabale National Teachers College. However, I advocated for her enrollment at Makerere Business School for a diploma, foreseeing that supporting her bachelor's degree immediately into our marriage would be more challenging. My wife graciously accepted the proposal, and Debbie officially became the third member of our family in September 2018 (three months into our marriage).
Debbie not only completed her diploma with distinction but also thrived in our family by graciously raising Zoli. She was the first person, aside from us, to behold and navigate life with her (and then Zima thereafter). She also plays a vital role in our side hustle, 236 Events, where she has served as our admin executive pretty much since its inception, and there are tangible results affirming her significant contribution.
Her journey from diploma to degree was seamless, thanks to God's grace and the doors he continued to open. We are thrilled that you've successfully earned this degree, Debbie. Thank you for your exemplary grades, for not causing us any undue stress, and for being an instrument of God's teachings on generosity. Reflecting on the generosity someone extended to sponsor my university fees, a related story that my wife shares from her high school and university days, where another family came through for her, humbles us and reinforces that God, in His mercy, provides for us all in mysterious ways.
As you transition into the next phase of adulthood, we lift your curfew from 2130 (which had been installed in consideration of your student life) to 2230 going forward 😜.
Remember to keep your focus on Christ, the author, and perfecter of all that concerns us.
With love, Your Big Brother
